Scheduler / Purchasing Clerk – South Bend, IN. – 1st shift position working 7:00 am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday & 7:00am-11:00am on Friday. This position will involve scheduling and coordinating demand into a master production schedule using an ERP system to achieve efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer demand, analyze and revise shipment plans as required, analyze initial annual forecast to actual YTD demand and updates forecast accordingly, and coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies. Duties will include review requisitions, conferring with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule, select products for purchase, estimate values according to knowledge of market price, determine method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid and then prepare purchase orders or bid requests, review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority, discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality inspection personnel, users, vendors and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action, approve invoices for payment, and expedite delivery of purchased goods to users fulfilling both in-house and customer needs. Previous production planning and scheduling experience. APICS CPIM certification a plus. High School diploma or GED minimum education required; minimum 3 years related experience. Must have strong communication and computer skills, Epicor Vantage ERP experience would be most desirable, experience with other ERP systems would be helpful. Must have a current Valid Driver’s License and ability to be forklift certified. Temp to hire position starting out at $13.00/hr. Bindery Expeditor – St. Joseph, MI -Local printing company is looking for an Bindery Expeditor that will be responsible for making sure things are ready before a job gets on a production line to help eliminate down time. Will be responsible for Validating jobs on the schedule to ensure all components, cartons, BRC’s are available. Will be primary person for making carton labels for each work center so that machines are not incurring any downtime. Must be computer literate with the ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Spare Parts Customer Service Representative – Benton Harbor, MI -. Hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday. Position will involve selling parts for products and scheduling service calls. Position duties will include quoting prices and credit terms, preparing sales contracts for orders, conducting research and sharing information with service, manufacturing and purchasing to provide viable solutions to customer needs, estimating date of delivery to customers based on production and delivery schedules, investigating and resolving customer delivery issues, entering customer and sales data for customers into the computer database, tracking and processing back orders, and notifying appropriate people as to availability, responding to internal request for information from other departments, addresses complaints concerning billing or service rendered, and referring complaints for service to designated departments for investigation. Must have strong communication skills, as well as computer skills in MS Office. Knowledge of BPCS Manufacturing software is preferred. Must have an Associate’s degree or 5-10 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of heat treat equipment, process gasses, process control instrumentation and PLC usage is desired. Temp to hire position pay $12.00/hr – $16.00/hr depending on experience.
