1st shift Die Cast Supervisor. This position is responsible for supervising the Die Cast department, managing setting up and troubleshooting various machines and operations, monitoring processes and results and prioritizing work under guidelines from management. This position coordinates the activities of production, Maintenance and Quality personnel to achieve optimal results. Manage the setup of die cast machines, trim presses, melting and holding furnaces and robotic operations on die cast machines. Coordinates activities of production, maintenance and quality personnel to achieve optimal results, applying their knowledge of the die casting process and properties of molten metal. Supervises the operation of melting/ holding furnaces (including thermostat control) and trim presses. Troubleshoots issues for die cast machines and trim presses as well as any tooling related issues, monitors the process development for die cast tooling and documents the results, solves operating and quality problems and prioritizes work under guidelines from management. Maintains production records, assures production employees are adequately trained and the training is documented, initiates changes in the timing of the casting cycle, lubrication of dies, and timing/spacing between dies to correct defects in castings. Examines materials and products at various stages of processing for conformance to specifications, observes machines and equipment for malfunction and orders adjustments or repairs or directs workers to make adjustments or repairs. Maintains and updates all training logs, records, reports and oral or written information received for the successful operation of the department. Monitors and maintains work schedules of employees including breakdown assignments, premium pay designations and rotation schedules and assists the Production Superintendent on special projects when needed. Must have a High School Diploma or GED, 6 years or more as a die cast operator and 3 years or more as a die cast supervisor. Hours are 6am-2pm and overtime as needed and wage starts at $19.00/hr. 1st shift CNC Supervisor. This position is responsible for supervising the CNC department, managing set up and troubleshooting of various machines and operations, monitoring processes and results and prioritizing work under guidelines from management. This position coordinates the activities of production, supervises the employees in the safe production of quality machined castings to customer standards and implement and train the employees in the standard operating and quality procedures. Organize, maintain and analyze production performance records and data, approve employees shift time and work performed both manually and digitally. Maintains schedule adherence by establishing priorities, assigning personnel, monitoring progress, resolving problems and working with the scheduling department to achieve satisfied customers. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action. Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the contract and adhere to local, state and federal employment and safety requirements. A minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required and ten years experience in metal machining operations, procedures and process control. Past supervisory experience is a plus and must possess excellent written, oral, arithmetic skills and basic computer programs, (Word & Excel). 1st shift Shipping Supervisor. The Shipping Supervisor coordinates the activities of shipping and receiving personnel with the intent of maintaining coordinated flow of incoming materials and timely shipment of product. Ensuring correct shipment of orders, supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in handling incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment. Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules and utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. Develop and roll out work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow. Issue written and oral instructions to shipping and receiving personnel. Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Determine space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lay out position of shipment. Determine routing and legal load limits of trucks according to established schedules and weight limits of states. Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, inspect material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair. Maintain vehicle maintenance report, direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas and compile records of unfilled orders. Prepare required documentation on the computer and interact as needed with shipping vendors and customers. Associate’s degree in business-related field and Five (5) or more years of related supervisory experience and/or training in the field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
