Grinding Openings:
Precision Grinder for 1st shift position working 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday. This position will be responsible for the set up and operation of a variety of grinding machines such as external, centerless, internal and surface grinders to grind metal work pieces such as machine parts, dies or tools. Will study blueprint or layout to plan sequence of operations, select appropriate grinding wheel, dress wheel with dressing device, position and secure work piece in place, select feed rates, grinding speeds, depth of cuts and grinding wheel of size, shape and grade for each operation, observe operation and adjust position and action of wheel and workpiece and verify dimensions of ground work piece for conformance to specifications. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. High School Diploma or GED is a plus. Technical school or one to two years related experience and /or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience is required. ID/OD Grinder for 2nd shift position working 2:30pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday with overtime as needed. Must have 1-5 years of progressive manufacturing experience and computer skills as it relates to ID/OD Grinding operation. Loading and unloading parts, ensuring proper arbors and grinding wheels for each machine. Selecting, aligning and securing holding fixtures, attachments, accessories and materials on grinding machines. Calculating and setting controls to regulated machining factors such as speed and feed. Setting up and operating machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings or program control data in accordance with set-up time parameters.
