Local manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Machine Repair Technician for 1st shift working 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday with overtime as needed. Qualified candidates will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production CNC lathe and mill machines and facility equipment. Duties will include performing emergency/unscheduled repairs, as well as scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance. Performing mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair and performing simple machinist duties. Must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Must have experience using hand and power tools, volt meters and material handling equipment, as well as experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, articulated lifts and the use of PLEX maintenance module system and CMMS. Experience with Fanuc Controls is preferred. Must have a high school diploma/GED and 4 years of production maintenance experience including PLC experience. The Maintenance position is responsible for performing routine maintenance on paint line ovens, high temperature-hot water (HTHW) systems, wastewater treatment and auxiliary equipment including but not limited to inspections, installations, removal, lubrication, cleaning and related functions as required to support the production process. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns. Communicating and working with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner. Reviewing and inspecting any repairs or modifications made to equipment performed by others. Maintaining accurate and timely written records to communicate maintenance and repair activities to other shifts and the Maintenance Manager. Sending source documents to the front office to comply with State and Federal recordkeeping. Performing roll grinding to eliminate defects in paint rolls. Performing other maintenance, repair, and related tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager. Perform all duties while maintaining compliance with regulatory safety requirements, OSHA Implementing preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment and systems so that malfunctions and breakdowns are minimized. Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory of parts for equipment in a cost efficient manner. Contacting licensed contractors or inspectors as necessary to maintain and repair paintline equipment. Being willing to learn and become proficient in new trades or skills as directed by Maintenance Manager. Previous experience in manufacturing processes and equipment repair required and experience in waste water treatment preferred. Wage starts at $18.00/hr.
