Product Specialist/Technical Sales Manager. This person will be the liaison between the customer and the company for all products and will drive the development process and technology to meet customer goals, as well as ensure that customer stocks are sufficient and that production schedule meets the need for usage patterns at the caster while promoting safety and quality awareness. This position will cover customers in the Indiana, Michigan and Ohio areas. Will be responsible for communicating customer requirements, monitoring customer stock levels to ensure that production schedule meets customer needs, address customer site evaluations for new products, creating product designs and selecting appropriate material for application. Gaining/obtaining quotes for customer submittal to obtain orders, developing plans for new products to meet customer needs, observe product performance relative to customer objectives, assist customers and aid them in obtaining optimal performance of the products, investigate and report on customer complaints to determine problem cause and solution, and provide necessary support to ensure that complaints are resolved and reported correctly within the customer’s QA requirements. Must have Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Ceramics, Metallurgy or Mechanical, Metallurgical or Ceramics back ground or qualification with 3 to 5 years of working experience in Refractory or Steel Industry. Must be skilled in data collection and analysis, be experienced with MS Word and Excel, AutoCAD and have strong written and oral communication skills. This is a direct hire position starting out at $55K – $60K depending on experience with benefits including medical, dental, life, vision insurance and 401k.
Master Production Scheduler and Planner. This position is responsible for the organization of production planning and scheduling according to capacity, demand and quality standards in order to ensure product is produced on time using daily and weekly production schedules for distribution. Will also analyze and revise production plans and provide appropriate delivery dates as required, work with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction, analyze actual customer demand, trends and forecasts and adjusts capacity accordingly. Duties will include translating projected forecasts, incoming volume and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule. Work with customers to determine weekly inbound forecasts, develop consumption models to improve accuracy, calculate production lead times, manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling. Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting, coordinate information with other functional staff, understand capacity management relationship to MRP, establish, measure, monitor and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules and determine available capacity before planned orders are released. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience particular to Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II) or equivalent combination of education and experience. APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred. Must be well organized and have strong customer service, communication, analytical and problem solving skills, possess a working knowledge of MS Office and ERP Systems and be willing to work overtime on an as-needed basis to maintain deadlines. This is a direct hire position with a starting salary between $55,000 – $65,000 depending on experience.
