• Design of new tooling and stamping dies
• Collaborating with engineers to develop conceptual, preliminary and detail designs
• Creating preliminary sketches of dies for review
• Ensuring strip layouts/drawings meet customer specifications
• Creating/updating detailed drawings for manufacturing with CAD systems
• Reading blueprints and using necessary measuring devices to make or modify existing tooling and/or tools for old or new jobs
• Performing troubleshooting
• Managing a bill of materials for all designs
• Minimum of five years experience in Tool & Die Design
• Advanced training through an accredited program
• Experience in tool and die design/engineering
• Experience in NX 8.5 (formerly Uni-graphics), Windows and MS Office Products
• Extensive knowledge of CAD systems, AutoCAD and 3D modeling
• Geometric Intolerance experience Experience as a Journeyman Tool & Die Maker/Repair and CAD design experience is preferred
3rd Shift MIG Welding
Will be working 10:00pm-6:00am Monday through Friday with additional overtime as needed. Temp to hire positions starting out at $23.00/hr. ($20.00/hr. + $3/hr. premium). Additionally, welders will be eligible to receive a Welder Recruiting & Retainment bonus – every welder will receive a $200 per week bonus – must work all scheduled shift hours and not get any points during the week.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year or more of recent production MIG welding experience
• Weld certification is greatly preferred
• Fillet gauge experience a plus
• Must be able to pass weld testing
2nd Shift Progressive/Transfer Press Operator
Working 2:00pm-10:00pm Monday-Friday with additional overtime as needed. Temp to hire position at $21.00/hr. ($18.00/hr. + $3.00/hr. shift premium). Qualified candidates can apply at www.woodstaffing.com/apply and contact Teresa at 574-968-1410 or 269-605-4018 with questions.
• Duties will include the set-up (tighten bolts down as needed), die setting, operation and troubleshooting of transfer, progressive and hand line press operations ranging between 600 tons and 1200 tons
• Will also run other types of production equipment related to stamping operations such as fork trucks and overhead crane as needed
• Will load and unload parts and run production
• Will perform quality checks, fill out inspection reports and production documentation
• Will package parts as required
• Must be able to read and understand gauges and measurement tools
• Must have knowledge of Quick Die Change Methodology
• Forklift operation experience is a plus
• Must be able to handle, lift, push and pull up to 40lbs on a repetitive basis
