2nd Shift Powder Coat Painter

• Assist each Powder Room Station in setup for job
• Oversee coating booth and gun setup per job
• Assure all job-related materials are on hand and ready for use (masks, plugs, powder, etc)
• Visually inspect product for coating or part defect before leaving the powder room
• Preventative Maintenance when required
• Keep work area clean and free of debris
• May be required to stand the entire shift to perform job
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Demonstrate communication skills
• Manual dexterity
• Must have at least 1 year experience with powder coat paint application
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have stable work history

Temp to Hire position starting out at $19.00/hr. ($17.00/hr. + $2.00/hr. Shift Premium) Hours are 2:00PM-10:00PM Monday-Friday (Overtime as needed). Qualified candidates please call Carrie at 269-605-4133.

1st shift Painter

This position will involve preparing items for painting, mixing paints and painting component parts and equipment using paint pot and air paint spray gun

• Inspect items to be painted for proper welds
• Remove weld spatter and excess weld, sharp edges and burrs using a wire wheel, air chisel, electric grinder or file
• Clean and prepare the surface to be painted – wiping down with paint thinner to remove grease, dirt, oil and masking off areas not requiring paint
• Apply primer coat and buff out primer runs
• Mix paint with thinner
• Paint product according to specifications using paint pot and air paint spray gun
• Check product for necessary paint touch-up after item is re-assembled
• Install data plates, warning labels and other signs
• Clean painting equipment and paint booth
• Inventory, requisition and rotate paint stock
• Read blueprints, diagrams and/or schematic and job orders
• One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to accurately measure with a tape measure and square to 1/32″ and convert decimals to fractions
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and able to distinguish stainless steel, carbon steel and aluminum
• Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
