Wood Staffing is currently seeking experienced MIG Welders on 3rd shift. Will work 8:30pm – 5:00am Monday – Friday with additional overtime as needed. Temp to hire positions starting out at $19.80/hr. Qualified candidates can contact Carrie at 269-605-4133.
- Must have minimum of 2 years of production MIG welding experience
- Fabrication experience is a plus
- Must supply own welding helmet and steel toe boots/shoes
- Must be able to pass pre-assignment drug screen
1st shift – Welding Supervisor
- This is a supervisory role working out on the plant floor in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Will be responsible for managing, training, and disciplinary functions for welding area team members
- Assist with setups, change overs, and checks for new parts
- Operate forklifts as needed to move finished product in the welding area
- Will oversee both the welding and quality containment areas and give guidance based on production priorities
- Will assist with parts inspection and documentation
- Must be detail oriented with good time management skills and able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Must have previous experience with robotic and resistance welding operations
- Must have previous experience with employee training and supervision
- Must have strong communication skills
- Must have experience working with/reading parts measuring tools
- Must have steel toe boots
- Good work history and reliable transportation is a must
This is temp to hire position with a Berrien County manufacturer offering a good work environment and good benefits when perm hired. Wage starting out at $20/hr and up depending on experience.
